Ozempic is very much in the news. Inject this into yourself and become slim - not forever, just until you die. Back in AD 30 in Galilee (in present day Israel), Jesus offered “living bread” which “if someone may eat of this bread, he will live forever.”
That “living bread” was, he said, “his flesh”. Was he recommending cannibalism? No. See the paragraph marked AAA below. He would be killed, buried, rise again and, as a man, go back to his Father.
But why the rather grotesque analogy? What do you think about eating his “flesh”? Is that the same as going to church? He said, “If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever”. Snacking there may not be enough.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you may eat of the flesh of the Son of Man and may drink the blood, you do not have life in yourself. The one feeding on my flesh and drinking my blood has eternal life, and I myself will raise him on the last day. Because my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. The one feeding on my flesh and drinking my blood dwells in me, and I myself in him.”

Instead of snacking, it's “feeding” on his “flesh” and “blood”. In short, “dwelling in [him]” and “[he himself dwelling] in [me - Jesus]”.

“Just as the living Father sent me out, and I myself live because of the Father, so also the one feeding on me – that one will live through me. This is the bread, the one who came down from heaven, not like the fathers ate, and died. The one feeding on this bread will live into eternity.” Jesus said these things in the synagogue, teaching in Capernaum.
It seems that it’s only by “feeding on” Jesus Christ that a person “will live”. “The one feeding on this bread will live into eternity.”
AAA Then many of his disciples, hearing it, said, “This is an offensive word; who can listen to it?” But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were muttering about this, said to them, “Does this offend you? Then what if you may see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? The Spirit is the one making alive; the flesh contributes nothing at all. The words that I myself have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” AAA
Jesus’ words are “spirit” and they are “life”. Nothing less than both of those.
“But certain of you are those who do not trust.” (For Jesus had known from the beginning who they are who did not trust, and who is the one who will betray him.) And he said, “For this reason I have said to you that no one is able to come to me unless it may be given to him from the Father.”

It seems to be the case that one cannot eat and drink as Jesus wishes without first trusting him. Of course, that applies to anything put forward to us with a view to us eating it. We first need to be sure that it will indeed be good for us. Are you sure about this “bread of life”?

After this many of his disciples went away back from these things and were no longer walking with him. So Jesus said to the twelve, “And do you yourselves not want to depart?” Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go away? You have the words of eternal life, and we have trusted, and have known, that you yourself are the Holy One of God.” Jesus answered them, “Did I myself not choose you, the twelve? And yet one of you is a devilish one.” In fact he was speaking of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, because this one, one of the twelve, was about to betray him.
These 12 men, back there in AD 30, were sure about this “bread of life”. “We have trusted, and have known, that you yourself are the Holy One of God.” Me too.
